I hadnt slept since Caleb left.
The recent events had left my mind in disarray. Watching Abby quietly seemed to bring some solace.
Thus, when I heard the door open, I quickly stood and approached.
Relief washed over me upon seeing Caleb, but it was soon replaced by concern as I detected a faint smell of blood on him.
My heart quickened, and I asked nervously, Are you hurt?
Caleb stepped back and grumbled. The sanitation in Andrews dungeon is horrendous. Its so foul I could barely breathe, and now Ive picked up this blood scent. Damn!
I then realized he was carrying the smell of Noras blood.
